Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income school, my students are faced with challenges most students do not have to deal with. Despite what's going on around them, they are very eager to learn and are always giving one hundred percent in all that they do. I would like to equip my classroom with the tools needed to help my students succeed and be the best they can be in everything they do. I want each of them to know that school can be a fun place to learn and that there are people who care about them and their education.

My Project

My students are such hard workers, and I want to create a cozy classroom for them in the hopes that this will help to keep them eager and excited to learn. To create this type of classroom, I would like to have a rug as well as flexible seating.

By having flexible seating options such as a flex space round table, bean bags, and floor seats this would help my students enjoy completing their math work.

Flexible seating would also give them a choice in where they work in the classroom and with whom they work with. Thanks in advance for your support!
