I have loved teaching 3rd grade! I have noticed teaching this grade that these kids need to move around. Sitting in regular chairs at their desks is not a place they normally choose to sit.
We live in a very rural area and have limited resources available to us.
I am asking for some help to give these students items that they would love to have in the classroom and help them be able to focus on what needs to be done. I have a busy class and next year's class is equally as busy. I know these items will help them be able to focus longer!
My Project
OH THE PLACES YOU'LL....SIT! These materials will make learning in the classroom so much more inviting by giving comfortable choices for seating. When we are not doing direct instruction for students, they love to be able to choose where they sit! Everyone enjoys having different choices on the types of seats they will get to use!
I have one bar stool and they fight over it, with this project funding I will have 8 more!
They love the scoop seat I have in my classroom so I know they will love the pillow seats and the bean bag chairs. Some love to lay down while working on their Chromebooks so the benches will help accommodate this as well! Plus with the benches I have the added bonus of storage for games and weighted blankets and such!
