I have a wonderful group of beginning Spanish students, who are really excited to learn the language! They are in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade and come from many different backgrounds and language abilities.
They work hard to study what we go over and are eager to learn the language!
I'm excited to wake up and go to work every morning because I know that my kiddos are going to do something to impress me, make me laugh, and appreciate what I do for them. I implement a combination of grammar and comprehensible input (story-telling, discussing, and reading in Spanish) to teach my students to the best of my abilities.
I'm a middle school Spanish teacher, and my students have 8 periods of class a day. Halfway through the day, they are very fidgety and it's hard to keep them focused. I've slowly started collecting odd bits of furniture to keep them excited about coming to class, and I found that they are much more willing to learn when they are sitting in a chair other than the standard hard school chair.
My kids love coming to class early and seeing who gets to snag the few cool seats we have, and I've love for them all to be able to have a fun seat to sit in every day!
