My Students

My six and seven year old students walk into my classroom this year, full of life and so excited to learn. There are 9 girls and 10 boys who love to come to school. Our school is small in size but big in education.

My students are like little sponges, ready to soak up every bit of knowledge given to them.

They love spending time in our reading center, reading books and listening to books on their ipads. I want to create a fun, comfy literacy center for my students.

My Project

My library's reading center is a very popular place to be but there is not enough seating, I have designed the reading center to be separate from the computers and table areas so my students can have a quiet, cozy space to read silently.

I chose these inflatable chairs because they look comfy and are different from other hard plastic seats in the library.

Because many of my students and their families have very busy lives after school they often do not have time to sit and read in a quiet comfy place. This library reading center will provide them with the opportunity to enjoy a quiet, comfy time with a book.
