I teach K-8 Adaptive Physical Education students that have a variety of intellectual, physical and sensory impairments. Our school is part of an all Special Education District. I modify each lesson according to their personal goals and together with great paraprofessionals, work very hard for them to acheive those personal goals.
My students love participating in all physical activities.
We are limited in space and equipment so we do our best with what we have. Having more choices of games and activities will motivate my students even more.
My Project
With the funding to fulfill my project, I will be able to improve my overall Physical Education Program by engaging and motivating my students in different games and activities that I normally would not be able to introduce to them.
The addition of new and exciting equipment and games and will assist in improving my students overall health and fitness levels.
My lessons will be able to include a variety of ways to accomplish the goal of providing fun at the same time as improving my students overall health. My students will love coming to Physical Education class even more than they already do.
