Help me give my students more flexible seating options. The Wobble Chairs provide students a seating option to "get the wiggles out" while still sitting at their desk or table. Students can move more freely while working.

My Students

The colorful and spirited personalities of the students in my special education (resource) classroom create an energetic dynamic for learning. These caring students have a variety of needs, including sensory input to optimize their learning. My students' range from kindergarten through fifth grade, keeping the pace of the classroom lively. They are creative and bring unending enthusiasm every day. Unfortunately, their enthusiasm can be over taken by distractions and their sensory needs. Always on the go, they will captivate and touch your heart.

My Project

Flexible seating options allow students to move more freely while they are working. Children need to naturally move. With higher demands taking more time away from recess and other activities with movement, students are needing different ways to get the movement in! By using the wobble stools, students will have more choices in my classroom about where and how to sit, picking the one that helps them the best! I have cushions and a few yoga balls, but the stools would really help meet other student needs. Other teachers have had great success with the wobble stools; I would like to add them to my room for students to experience as well!
