Our classroom motto is, "Be Kind, Work Hard!" My students show this everyday in the way that work and learn together! My classroom is full of smiling faces ready to learn and be the best that they can be together.
I hope that the students who enter my classroom feel that they have a place they can call their own.
Even with the challenges my students face on a daily basis they are excited to come to school each day and learn! They are excited when they get a new book that they can read on their own! I want my student to have a place they can call their home and friends that seem like family. My students are eager to learn and want to become strong readers and writers, but this can only be accomplished with the right materials and support from people like you!
My Project
This project would help my students find fun and flexible seating to reach all different learning styles. We call our classroom “home” and using flexible seating will only add to the family feeling of our classroom. Being active little second graders, we are hoping to use flexible seating as motivation to continue their reading journey! Allowing students to have choice in the place that they are reading will also decrease behaviors in my classroom and provide much needed reinforcement for positive choices. We are hoping for many choices to support the every growing needs that are seen in our classroom. Thanks in advance for your support!
