My students are expected to bring "positive vibes" into our classroom daily. I want to keep them engaged and support their positive thinking as their facilitator of all things learning!
A typical day in my classroom is, well, never typical!
I teach a wide range of students in my second grade classroom, and have to be flexible and adjust to meet their needs. This year, I have many bright students who challenge my own thinking daily. They are truly amazing thinkers!
My Project
I am requesting a variety of flexible seating to support the always changing needs of my students. Stools, bean bags, pillows, etc will give students their own personal space-- space that will work for them when they need it. We are a problem solving, technology driven school and my students are always taking their group work/learning to places around our classroom. We rarely stay at our desks!
Some students like to have their desk space, others like to move to the floor with a clipboard.
I would love for my students to have more options! I want them to be comfortable enough to focus and for these students to have the space they need to do their very best work.
