Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students at my school come from a wide range of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. It is beautiful to see such a diverse student population! We are also very fortunate to be in our third year of offering music to every single student at our school - which, in many places, is unheard of! We are so grateful to have music in our lives. General music is offered to students in grades K-4, and Instrumental music to students in grades 5-6 every week as part of the core curriculum. Choir, Ukulele, and Musical Theatre are also offered as extracurricular activities.
My Project
Rechargeable batteries are what our classroom needs to bring our class set of mini piano keyboards, graciously donated by Little Kids Rock, to life! In our music classroom, our students learn how to play a multitude of instruments, so this requires efficiency of space and ease of set up.
Our 3rd and 4th grade music students are gearing up to learn how to play the piano this year!
In order to avoid the unsafe mess of long cables and power strips, I am asking for your help in acquiring rechargeable batteries, the safest and most efficient way to keep our keyboard lab going.
