My Students

Hello! It is wonderful to meet you, we are excited you've taken the time to look at our project. We are a special classroom full of diverse learners working hard to reach our highest levels of success. Due to both cognitive and developmental needs, we approach learning from a whole child standpoint. This includes making sure all basic needs are met. Having the tools necessary to help us to achieve our goals is incredibly important. With your help we can do just that!

My Project

Please help me in supporting my students ability to reach their highest potential! Students who are hungry have a statistically harder time focusing, staying on task, and managing their emotions. Students with developmental and cognitive needs, are more highly impacted by changes in blood sugar and anxiety that can be caused by hunger. By scheduling snacks throughout the day, teachers are better able to support regulation which in turn supports academic success. Your donation of Goldfish and Pretzels (foods that are approved by our sensitive sensory needs) will supply our classroom of 25 with snacks until the end of the school year!
