My students need robots and STEM technology in order to learn the basics of computer programming to expose my students to a level of computer science that they otherwise would not have access to!
The students in my gifted classes are very inquisitive and eager to learn. I want to give my students experience in the world of robotics, coding and programming. I want to give them the tools to create and learn through problem solving and creativity.
My students come from a Title One school with a high population of English learners..
My students are fun, hardworking, bright, young individuals. They attend school each and everyday, ready to learn. My students love a challenge!
My goal is to introduce my young students to all the possibilities that STEM education provides. Implementing such a program can create problem solvers and critical thinkers. My students are learning at a young age to become scientists and engineers while using math and technology skills in the classroom. I have a diverse population of students who have the talent and ability to shape our future as innovators and leaders.
My Project
Through the use of robots and Osmo technology, my students will be exposed to a level of computer science that they otherwise would not have access to. This will give my students an advantage and may encourage them to pursue a career path they would have never imagined without the exposure to this innovative technology. With Amazon Alexa, I hope to transform my classroom into an interactive learning space where students are using voice-controlled searches in the classroom the same way they will in their future homes and vehicles.
Donations to my project will help shape the future as students are exposed to cutting edge technology.
Through this project, I hope my students will discover a whole new world of learning, play and adventure. Access to this technology, will inspire them to do great things and will encourage them to want to seek a career in a field such as Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics. Their futures will be brighter as a result of this project being funded!
