Our elementary school comprises over 400 students in grades K-5 who love to explore and learn. My students love to read and use technology in the Media Center, and they look forward to the Media class each week.
As the media specialist, it is my job to help foster a love of learning and to offer opportunities for students to develop skills and interests.
This year our Media Center is implementing a STEAM lab in order for students to work hands-on with technology and to practice problem solving skills. We wish to undertake many exciting projects that will allow students to think outside the box, but we do not have a budget to do so.
These Sphero Mini Robots make STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) education fun for students.
These robots will enable my students to collaboratively explore robotics and coding. They will be able to develop and apply the critical computational thinking skills needed to solve problems in the 21st Century.
