My Students

Let's build a circus cannon! What will happen if we move the cannon to the left? to the right? What if we don't have the materials? Children today are the same as children were many years ago - curious and inventive!

Working together in a group to figure out a problem just reinforces each child's problem-solving skills and their ability to work in a group setting.

Using manipulatives to try out their ideas is the coolest thing to watch in the classroom.

My Project

The STEAM Park will give the children an assortment of LEGOs to design their own park or they can work together to design new ideas. Giving children a chance to explore and make mistakes only to go back and figure it out stretches the brain and expands their thinking.

The engineering kits will encouraged the children to use their imaginations to construct an object from the bottom up using only a picture for reference.

They won't be limited to only one way of thinking and designing. Children's brains are growing and we need to open all avenues up for every one of them.
