Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the honor of working with some very sweet exceptional education students. Our school is in a low income area, but you would never know that by talking to them. They want to learn and thrive with their education. While exceptional education is a priority, it is one of the most expensive interventions in public schools. We need all the help we can get with supplying our students with the tools they need.
These kids have the biggest hearts and the biggest desire to learn of other students their age.
Helping to provide them with a safe place to learn is my number one goal. Providing them with the tools they need to learn is my number two. If you feel compelled to help please know your gift will go a long way.
My Project
Our lovely school has become a STEAM school. While it is important to have hands on learning in a STEAM program it is extra important for us as special education to have hands on items as well! Data has shown that students learn better when they have hands on items in which they can move! These items are reading blocks, 1-100 math board, and CVC blocks. The hot dots would provide the students to have independence in their learning. Some of the Hotdots the students need are phonics, first sounds, last sounds, word families, 1st grade ready math, kindergarten ready math! They will be able to answer the question and check it independently. The students would be able to work independently by themselves and within a small group. Your donation will help build stronger learners in a all areas! These items will encourage the students become super independent and that will grow their self confidence!
I have found that my students can work independently and have fun while they are working!
It is important to love learning and to have fun while learning as well.
