My students need to experience and be exposed to all areas of STEM such as designing and creating kites, exploring the science of music, and training isopods, among other hands-on math and science material.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school serves students in grades K-8. Our after school STEM/Science Club works with students from grades 5 to 8 and our goal is to prepare them for success in high school and college and raise awareness in STEM careers.
Our students are curious about science and STEM.
They range in abilities and take pride in working hard in the areas of STEM. Many of my students are also new to this country. I work in a large school with a very high immigrant population in Doral, Florida.
My Project
Your donation to this project will allow me to implement the STEM lessons that our students love and learn from. Your donation to our classroom will help develop and build that love and passion for learning. The material that will be used for the cross curricular lessons within this project in my classroom will create many content-rich and meaningful experiences for my students.
This project would give my students a much needed boost of interest, motivation, practice and experience in the areas of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, literacy, and the arts.
The lessons within this project will immerse my students and allow them to experience and gain a deeper understanding of many different topics within the realms of science. Students who are confident and motivated in these abilities will be ready to face higher education and future careers that may not currently exist yet.
With your donation, my students will be involved in training isopods, classifying organisms, assembling and using STEM kits, measuring, designing and creating kites, and many other activities within the areas of STEM. My students will explore forensics, investigate and experience life sciences, and explore math and science via the arts.
This project is multi-disciplinary and provides many hands-on opportunities for students to venture out and learn about topics that are truly fascinating when experienced in the classroom. These materials will provide opportunities for my students to be life-long learners. Your donation will make a big impact and difference in our classroom this school year.
