My Students

"Play is talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood" -Fred Rodgers. This quote describes exactly what kindergarten students need to do to increase their learning.

My students are energetic five- and six-year-olds who need a variety of ways to learn.

For many, English is their second language and because of their different learning styles, most of our day centers around hands on learning. My school is one of a few schools in the district that has an ELL (English Language Learners) program.

My Project

My students are hands on learners who love to use technology. Children now come to school looking for ways to learn that involve technology. Most of our coding and STEAM technology needs a tablet to run on. Some unfortunately only run using an iPad.

I am hoping that my students can move full STEAM ahead with the technology in my classroom.

This can only happen with a second iPad. My students will use the iPad to run the OSMO learning system we have, and to program the ozobots. We also have Dash and Dot and would like to use the iPad to code them.
