My students face many challenges. At my elementary school, 94% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. Many of my students speak English as a second language. Very few of my students have any opportunities outside of school to participate in extra-curricular activities, or have access to technology.
Despite these challenges, my students are excited to learn and strive every day to become the best they can be!
My classroom is a lively, collaborative place where students are encouraged to take risks and grow their brains every day with the support of everyone in our class.
My students love to draw, create and build! These Circuit Cube kits will allow them to integrate science, technology, engineering, and math to their creative brains. With these kits, students connect circuits to Legos to build vehicles and robots. Or they connect circuits to markers to create art. Most importantly, they will be learning through play!
Giving low-income students hands-on experiences with STEM technology is an investment in their future.
Careers in coding are growing in demand every day. Sparking kids’ interest and providing hands-on experiences in this field early will give children the confidence to pursue a career that can lead to a brighter future.
