Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a wonderful and diverse bunch of bright, motivated students who are dedicated to their academics. Most come from bilingual families and do not have much academic support at home because of the language barrier and a lack of resources. However, my students are eager to learn and experience new and innovative things. They inspire me daily to give it my all. They have made and continue to make our school one of the best in which to work and learn!
My Project
Succeeding in the 21st century means learning how to think, not what to think. This project will help inspire interdisciplinary thinking through STEM. STEM activities such as Building Blocks Bars Different Shape Educational Construction Engineering Set and Straws Connectors Building Kits will help my students develop vital transferable skills and learn across subjects, through experimenting, trial and error, and creativity. The table and stools will be used for our new STEM activity table.
This project will provide my at-risk students with an understanding of how the world works.
It will provide opportunities for all level learners to master skills and content important for 21st Century learning.
Learning through STEAM is going to fuel their innovation, creativity and improve collaboration. It is going to prepare them for future success in our ever-changing world.
