My students need three invention kits (Makey-Makey kits) to get creative with science, technology, and engineering in our new library makerspace.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. By making our library STEAM focused, we can give students the opportunity to wow and amaze. Imagine if students had the opportunity to engineer something amazing in their own school library -- the possibilities are endless.
Library makerspaces are not just for high-tech college campuses in Silicon Valley anymore; now, students can get creative with everything from technology to modeling clay in the library.
Our rural North Carolina high school needs to give students the opportunity to invent with the best and the brightest. Why not give them that opportunity in our own library makerspace?
Using alligator clips and USB cords, Makey-Makey kits allow users to make awesome inventions with just about any object. With these kits, our students will have the opportunity to create interactive machines -- everything from banana game controllers to piano-stairs. For STEAM projects, Makey-Makey kits allow students to flex their muscles as resourceful creators for class activities, for service-oriented graduation projects, and for creativity's sake alone.
Who says the STEAM rock-star inventors are limited to tech-and-science-centered schools?
Our students can invent, engineer, and create with the best of them; let's give them the chance to prove it!
