My Students
I have 41 awesome fifth graders in my hybrid/remote class this year! My students come from diverse backgrounds but have one thing in common; they want and need to learn! Each and every one of them deserve the best learning environment possible! We are in need of water bottles and snacks to keep our bellies full so our minds can learn.
My Project
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, all of our water fountains have been closed and out of commission to prevent the spread of germs. Some students are able to bring in their own water bottles but most of my students, who live in low income households, are coming to school empty handed. That means they are in class from 8:30am to 2:00pm with only a small milk carton to drink at lunch. My students are also unable to bring in snacks of any kind. This rule was implemented to stop the spread of germs from multiple households. If I am able to provide for these basic needs, my students are going to be ready to learn!
