This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every day in my classroom I do my best to create a safe and warming environment for my students. Our school is a Title I school with many students who do not have the same opportunity as others outside the classroom. Many of my students are not able to provide their own supplies and come from low socioeconomic backgrounds so I do my best to think of unique ways to meet the needs of my students. To be able to meet the needs of all students, it is essential to provide the materials that create a safe and warming environment. It is my goal to provide the instruction and motivation the students need to face every challenge that is thrown their way because they deserve every opportunity to succeed.

My Project

These round pillow inserts will be used as flexible seating in the classroom. In the last project, there were pillow shams that were donated to but they did not come with pillows. I have chosen these pillows to fill the pillow shams so that the students will be able to use the round pillow seats as a seating choice in the classroom. It is essential that the students are given a choice of a comfortable learning environment. I am hoping that these pillows will not only provide a choice for the students but that they will provide a comfortable exciting learning environment.
