As a special education teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom.
My students all have different academic and social goals they are working towards, but that does not stop them from being amazing kids.
They all want to be successful in everything they do whether it be reading, writing, math or just being less disruptive in class.
My classroom environment is nurturing one, with a small and very close group of kids that love to learn together

My students need healthy snacks to improve their school performance. Many of my students come from low-income/poverty area and don't get much to eat. Our school provides free breakfast and lunch but sometimes it's not enough, when that's all they might be eating for the day.
My students come to school hungry, tired and not ready to learn.
Fueling their bodies with healthy snacks and beverages will help them be at their top performance both academically and socially, this will help them be ready to learn instead of focusing on their hunger.
