Our school is located in a rural area, many of our students do not have access to technology. Our students love to learn new strategies in Math!
My students are inquisitive and love to learn!
They want to be able to explore and expand their knowledge through a variety of experiences. My class has a wide range of ability levels, but each one has some quality that makes him or her an asset to the class.
My students crave the ability to learn more about the world around them.

My Project
Our school is in a rural community, and most of our students don't have access to computers or technology unless they are at school. In 5th grade, we have a diverse group of learners who are motivated by technology. Our county has access to a wide variety of computer-based programs that enhance Science and Math competency with real-world scenarios. Due to limited technology, it is hard to have enough computers to enable my students to have access to these awesome resources. Many of these programs are leveled based on each diverse learner and their individual learning needs.
As a teacher, I use multiple technology resources to spark my students’ knowledge and encourage their personal inquiry based on their individual needs.
Many of the resources we have access to allow me to create assignments based on each student's needs. One student may be working on fractions finding common denominators while another may be multiplying or dividing fractions. This helps me allow each student to get the practice they need while being successful at their own pace. Many times in the classroom, we have to move on to the next skill before all students master a skill, but this allows more opportunities for success. Please help me add more technology to our math and science classroom.
