This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books will continue enhancing the print-rich classroom I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. I read on the carpet to them, they complete work there, and they look at books independently! Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunity to read/look at books. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. I have watched them look at books and turn one page at a time. Students can choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to look at books independently at their own grade level.

They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase future reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow. My students have shown an astonishing interest in books and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
