Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a Title I campus and the majority of my students come from low-income homes and struggle to bring basic supplies. When students enter my classroom, they are busy learning until the time they leave. My goal for all my students is to be successful. I will use the books to add to my library and the card stock, ink, and lamination sheets to print rigorous hands-on activities. I want students to see a concept in multiple ways so I will use the ink and card stock to make task cards and vocabulary cards to meet the needs of all learners. Students will retain more information that is geared toward their particular learning style. I enjoy making learning more hands on.

I strive to make learning engaging, hands-on, and fun!

The students always enjoy having new books to read so additional books to our library is always an exciting time.

My Project

I will use the laminating sheets to reinforce games I create on card stock paper. I will use the paper trimmer to help me cut the games more efficiently. I teach students at a Title I school that do not always bring school supplies so providing them with pencils would be great. They also enjoy taking notes with colored pens.

My students always enjoy new books in our library.

It makes the desire to read grow with each addition to our classroom library! I will also use the markers to create visually pleasing anchor charts to help students remember what they have learned.
