My Students
I teach mostly ninth grade students in a high poverty area of Salt Lake City, Utah. I have the most amazing, energetic and enthusiastic students around. They are tech-savvy and smart!
Our school is a STEM school in the Salt Lake City School District.
We are specifically located in this area to be able to serve this population of students.
With this funding, I can begin to put technology (in this case iPads) in the hands of students that often find technology out of their reach.
My Project
The iPad will help my students create projects related to our Health curriculum. They will be able to show through multimedia resources multiple ways to avoid drugs, tobacco and vaping. Also implementing healthy lifestyles of fitness, healthy eating, suicide prevention to name a few.
This iPad will allow them to use projects quicker and easier while in the classroom setting.
Use many multimedia projects such as video editing, advertising, designing as part of an assessment tool they can all be successful on.
I am so excited to begin implementing this into my classroom and look forward to receiving this iPad.
