My Project

I teach all subject areas to a wonderful group of fifty 4th graders. My students are living in a world where technology is an important tool. They show up every day eager to learn and strive to be better. I have a class full of diverse learners who require a multitude of learning strategies.

My students love to learn and are always wanting to go above and beyond in their learning.

While the class does have access to some computers, there are not enough for each to student to have one to use, when we are using technology to further our understanding. Having these Kindles will enable my students to learn at their own pace and at their individual level.

Using the Kindle Fires, I will be able to have the students access certain websites that are not only fun and interactive, but educational too! They will also be an amazing resource for the students to use for their math research projects each unit. Students will also use these devices to complete Reflex lessons, play Kahoot review games with one another, practice typing and visit other educational sites during centers and small groups. These devices will allow my students to grow in their individualized areas where they need additional support as well as engage with one another.
