My Project

It’s hard for students to focus on learning when their stomachs are empty. Some of my first graders come to school without breakfast or may not have enough to eat at home. By providing snacks in the classroom, I can ensure that all of my students have the energy they need to learn, grow, and succeed.

My students are energetic, curious, and eager to learn.

They come from diverse backgrounds, and each one brings something special to our classroom community. Many of them face challenges outside of school, and I want to make sure hunger isn’t one of those challenges while they are with me.

I am requesting a variety of classroom-friendly snacks such as crackers, granola bars, fruit snacks, and pretzels. These snacks will help bridge the gap when students are hungry during the day.

Providing snacks will not only meet a basic need but will also help students stay focused, improve their mood, and give them the energy to participate fully in class. With your support, we can create a classroom where students feel cared for and ready to learn each day.
