My school is located in the heart of Houston, Texas and serves a diverse population of students. Although several of my students face personal challenges, they still come to school everyday eager to learn and explore! These students are definitely some of the best and brightest around.
My first grade math and science students absolutely love hands on learning, exploring, and creating!
They are always up for a new challenge. Asking questions and doing investigations are some of their favorite things to do at school. Each day, my students inspire me to be better because of their persistence and and curiosity.
First grade is one of the most foundational and important educational years for students. Because of this, they deserve to have high quality school supplies and equitable opportunities. These materials will ensure that students are well equipped for the math and science skills we are learning in class. They will provide each student with math manipulatives and technology they need to be successful in their learning.
Basic school supplies will allow my intelligent and creative first graders to learn and create in ways that they have not previously been able to.
It will allow me to build an organized classroom that promotes growth and curiosity. With these new supplies, my students will have access to high quality learning stations, virtual experiences, and much, much more!
My school is located in a community that lacks socioeconomic resources. Because of this, my students often come to school hungry and need snacks throughout the day to give them a boost. The snacks listed in this project will provide students with the fuel they need to keep learning.
