My Students

Students in my classes learn so much each year -- it's truly astounding! Usually, after a few months, students will remember how anxious they were to begin in August, and then we can see just how much we'll grow. Students in our community are eager to learn every day when they enter the classroom. How wonderful for a teacher to be treated to bright, shiny faces! No matter what level each child was at when they started, they have all grown, both intellectually as well as socially.

My Project

Students have been working in our school kitchen with 40-year-old equipment. The pots and pans are embarrassingly old, dingy, banged up, caked on grease, well, you get the picture. It would be wonderful if the chefs could have a few new pans to use for our after school cooking program. At least most of them could be frying up their Zucchini Parmesan Chips in pans that they can easily see the bottom of, and which the handles won't fall off mid-cook. This will be such a wonderful gift for students who work diligently at creating delicious works of art.
