This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a Title I school situated in a predominantly immigrant community, we are committed to imparting practical life skills, including community service, to our students on a daily basis. Many of these children have special needs, which require learning about community front line workers through pretend play, visuals, and classroom celebrations with our front line workers which will be showing us and speaking to us about what they do daily.

Please help us get this special activity center to promote wellness in our school and community and these kindness gram stickers and rocks to decorate and give to our amazing community front line workers!!

On Valentine's day, our community workers will be visiting our school and we will be honoring them with a special celebration. Students, community front line workers, parents, and students will be invited to understand the importance of our community workers while they have the opportunity to speak to all of our students and parents. We will be thanking them giving them special kindness stickers and creating a kindness rock for the community workers closest to our hearts!! Most of the students in my classroom have the same doctor, we work with the most amazing precinct, and the best nurses and safety agents around!! Let them honor them by allowing them to speak in our classroom, model what they do on a daily basis (with the activity center) and celebrate them with fun treats!
