Our school is a genuinely diverse community. Not only do students come from varying ethnic backgrounds and places within (and without) the United States, but the life experiences that they’ve had are incredibly unique. The diversity of the student body at our school is successful enough that no student should feel completely out of place.
My classroom consists of 26 eager to learn firsties!
Within my room, there are several students who are ELLs. Some that speak no English at all. I am looking to provide my students with engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
I have a classroom full of littles. I want to make sure that I provide engaging, up-to-date, learning for my first graders.
Our classroom only has two very large and outdated computers.
Which, I am thankful to have but the educational possibilities will be endless with more readily available devices.
If we could get these Chromebooks to our classroom we would use them for reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. I also want to be able to help them with performing simple technology troubleshooting skills. Technology surrounds them in today's world. I want to help them with these necessary life skills.
