My students need carpets for the centers in our classroom. I would love to give the children the opportunity to learn and play with their peers while sitting on these awesome and clean rugs!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are comprised of 15 four- and five-year-olds who are creative, spontaneous, and excited about their first year of school. They also love to interact with their friends during outside play. Some of the students in my classroom are students with learning, physical, and emotional disabilities.
Most of my students come from low-income households, and in some cases, the materials I like to provide for them at school are the only ones they have in their lives.
Our school community is a warm and friendly place where the children thrive to learn.
Our Pre-K class just became a full day program for the first time in our district. We are all very excited about this opportunity where the children will spend more time in school preparing to enter Kindergarten next year. Now that we have more time with the children, we are in need of new materials to keep the children engaged.
Our school is an awesome place where the children feel like they are part of a community. As much as the school would love to provide the children with what they need in the classroom, the demands and needs are more than they can afford.
My Project
These new rugs will make a huge difference in the lives of these little ones. They come to school every day and they just look forward to sit around the floor with their peers. They build train tracks and run trains through it; the only problem is that they do it on the bare floor sometimes! The rugs we have are old and dirty and some are not even big enough. These rugs will also help the children distinguish one center from another and understand their space as well as to feel comfortable and cozy in their room. The rugs will also bring brightness and warmth to the classroom!
I would just love to provide a place for the children where they feel comfortable and free to learn at their own pace.
