This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are resilient young people. When they fall in love with a book, our classroom comes alive with rich discussions and growth in learning. In reading Street Life, they will identify with the author’s life experiences, trials and tribulations. This book can give them another perspective to what they can be and achieve in life. It will increase my students’ engagement and motivation in reading. Not only will they be able to connect with the book but they will be able to improve their skills while discovering a deeper love for reading.
