My students need ECR4kids bean bag chairs to have a comfortable spot to read and HOMFA toy shelves to house the books. Reading increases vocabulary articulation and overall communication skills.
I am currently a Speech-Language Pathologist. I primarily work with students who suffer from communication disorders. These include but are not limited to articulation disorders, language impairments, Autism, Developmental Delays, and other difficulties.
Watching my students learn, change and grow is the best part of my job.
I work with students in grades pre-K through 6 and I love every minute of it.
I carry a case load of 40-70 students per year and service them in small groups and individually.
My Project
As a Speech-Language Pathologist I know the importance of reading. Reading increases vocabulary, thought, can improve articulation skills, and many other things. It is the cornerstone to our educational system. In my classroom we use reading in most of our sessions. It is my hope to create a comfortable reading corner and to increase the number of books I have available to my students. The ECR4kids bean bag chairs will give my students a comfortable place to read and hold group discussions to increase language useage, pragmatic skills, fluency skills and improve speech intelligibility. The HOMFA Toy shelves will be used as book shelves to hold our growing class library to make book selection easier for my students.
Communication encompasses every aspect of our lives.
Therapy doesn't just happen at a table, it can happen any where and with your help, I can give my students a the comfortable welcoming setting they so deserve.
