Help me give my students these wonderful alternatives for our classroom! I hope to contribute to an increased positive classroom environment that my students look forward to coming to with the colorful, fun-shaped floor cushions and multi-colored stools.
I have the pleasure of teaching 4 sections of wonderful 4th graders. I also teach a small group of 4th graders during RTI which is reading intervention time. Our school is 100 percent free lunches. Life is very challenging for many of my students. Many struggle with broken homes and poverty. As a result, they have a lot of emotional trauma to deal with.
Another challenge my students face is remote learning due to Covid outbreaks.
When this happens they are isolated at home away from peers and their school family. Despite these challenges, my kids are resilient, positive, and happy to be at school with their friends and teachers. They deserve the very best to help them achieve an education.
The alternative seating I hope to obtain will contribute greatly to a positive, inviting classroom environment along with an increased desire for my students to learn. School shutdowns due to Covid outbreaks in our community have isolated my students at home away from their peers and teachers. Allowing my students a variety of seating choices with flexible seating will for sure spark an excitement for learning and increased focus on their work. The products I have chosen such as the colorful stools and floor cushions will allow my students opportunites for comfortable fun seating in a variety of places around the room. I hope to create an increased love for learning and school with flexible seating. My students deserve the very best!
