Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very special. They LIVE at our school and are sexually abused, sex trafficked, and abused with drugs. We as teachers reclaim their lives by fostering, nurturing and giving these students hope to their futures. We adapt a curriculum that enables them to find work through job assessments and skills, career development programs, and LIFE SKILLS that enable them to function throughout life. These children need a new way to see their tragedy driven world. Help us change that. We become their parents, their guide to life.
My Project
My students have been taken into CPS custody from parents who abused their children through sex trafficking and drugs. My children are needing to reclaim their lives and deserve every bit of a new life and a quality education just as any other individual out there. With these supplies and basic compound microscopes and animal dissections, they will be able to get a realistic worldview perspective of what these natural biological science nature items are in real life. It will enable them to get out of their emotional distress and keep their mind focused on education and their goals in life and becoming something in life other than what their parents had put them through.
