My Students
The world is a big place, filled with wonder and excitement. Yet I teach at a school where many students have never left our wonderful state. Where travel, success, and exploration are foreign words to them.
My school has around 50% of my students who are on free and reduced lunch.
They come from diverse backgrounds and many are second generation citizens to this nation. The classroom becomes their doorway to the future and their doorway to adventure. Help me make it the best adventure ever.
My Project
The students at our school will read A Wrinkle in Time and will study this novel together. After we work on bringing the novel to life through the students imaginations we want to let them see how others have brought the novel to life.
Many of our students will have never gone to a theater in their young lives, through this activity they will have read a book and see it on the big screen.
I remember letting my imagination run wild with this great classic of a novel and now it is coming to life on the big screen. What a treat for me and my students. Help me make this adventure come to life.
