My classroom will consist of twenty-six, amazing and eager third grade students. I want my third graders to come into the classroom each day, ready to learn, feeling important and wanting to reach for the stars!
My class has students with many different learning abilities.
My goal is to have all students working together to prepare for their bright futures. We work collaboratively each and every day to prepare all students to be extremely successful by working together and individually.
My Project
Our school is currently in the first year of our new EL curriculum. In third grade, there is a whole module/unit on Frogs.
Everything about frogs the students read, write and learn about in third grade.
With this being our school's first year implementing the new EL curriculum, our third grade team does not have all the supporting books that is needed for our students to become fully engaged. These books would be used for students independent reading block, where students can learn in depth about different types of frogs from around the world. My students would love to read and research frogs, so I would love to make these books accessible for all my students.
