Friendly Weavers

Help me give my students a large (48" wide) friendly loom for weaving. My students also need a set of stacking stools so they can easily change where they are sitting.

My Students

I teach at a Title I elementary campus in southwest Fort Worth, Texas. 85% of students are economically disadvantaged and receive free lunch or other public assistance. Our art studio needs your help to provide the tools to make this the best school year in 2022.

My students are becoming strong, smart, and very creative thinkers every day in school.

We need your support to help this growth continue. Your help will make a difference by providing supplies to take our art program to the next level.

My Project

Weaving is such a relaxing and fun way to pass the time. It's the repetitive motion and pattern that can be very soothing. During the stressful days of testing in the spring semester I like to give my older students especially, ways to balance out testing with weaving.

A friendly loom is very large and will allow students to create a group weaving together.

The set of stacking stools will allow students to have a choice of seating in the art studio. Making art as a group can be powerful! I would like to unify my students through art making.
