My Students

I teach all the students of my county schools. In the art room students are free to express themselves through their creations. Our school is in a high poverty area and a lot of them don't have art supplies at home. They love trying new things and materials. I try to expose them to new materials every year.

They have art once a week and their faces light up when they enter the room.

They never want to clean up but they always know there is a new week!

My Project

Students will enjoy learning how to weave on this awesome classroom loom. Teaching students new art forms is not only exciting for them but beneficial during their learning years.

The Friendly Loom will let multiple students weave at one time.

The yarn is bright and cheery to brighten any student's day. For younger students it will help improve their fine motor skills and they will be able to work together to make something they can all be proud of. They will be able to make a wall hanging to display around the school and we could even use it as a fundraiser in the future.
