My Students

My students are a group of children who are giving their best. They love hands- on activities and the opportunity to work with others. They are kind and aware of other students with special needs in the classroom. They are diverse in their learning styles, and make teaching them challenging and fun.

My students are learning that by working together and relying on the strengths of others,they can accomplish more than they can on their own.

Learning to work together to problem solve, is a lifeskill that will take them far in their individual lives.

My Project

By donating to our classroom, you are providing my students the opportunity to become fluent readers in a fun, and effective manner. As they time themselves with the timers, they can see their personal success as they complete reading passages faster and more efficiently. By using the partner passages, the students will be able to watch and compliment each other as they become fluent readers.

As fluency improves, so does confidence in all reading skills, especially comprehension.

As students question each other on the reading passages, they can discuss the passage in greater detail and see where mistakes are being made.
