My Students

Friction is everywhere! The only places to go to really see Newton's Laws of Motion without friction acting on objects is space. These special cars can help demonstrate the laws of motion with their nearly frictionless wheels.

I teach Eighth Grade Science in a high-need community with large special education and English Language Learner populations.

We are a Title I school with more than fifty percent of our population receiving free or reduced lunch. My students are hardworking and want to be as successful as possible.

My Project

The only places to go to really see Newton's Laws of Motion without friction acting on objects is space. These special cars can help demonstrate the laws of motion with their nearly frictionless wheels. One of several activities I can do with these cars include showing the conservation of momentum as one car bounces into another. Students will be able change variables such as mass in the cars and perform their own unique scientific investigation.

Frictionless cars are special science materials to use in the physical science classroom.

I always want to do the best I can to excite students about the wonderful world of science. By using frictionless cars, students have the unique opportunity to investigate Newton's Laws of Motion with the least amount of friction affecting the objects.
