This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are eager First Graders that are ready to learn. They are six and seven year olds who like to explore and learn new things. I teach at a Title I school where 80% of the students receive free or reduced-price lunches.
My students need supplies such as pencils, glue sticks, crayons, and scissors.
Our supplies need a fresh renewed spark. Things are new at the beginning of school, but soon wear out during the school year. We need a total make-over!
My Project
We need a fresh renewal to our supplies. Everyday, supplies like glue sticks, pencils, and erasers, get used up quickly. Crayons are easily lost or broken and they soon wear out.
Having these new supplies readily available will help my students finish out the school year.
They will have the tools to continue to use to be successful learners. These are things that are quickly consumed and need to be replenished. What a way to end our school with a fresh make-over.
The donation from this project will definitely put a smile on any child face when they can replace the old supplies to new ones.
