The students at our school are hardworking and wiggly! We enjoy working all around our classroom and even (on a nice day) we love to work outside.
We do a lot of project based assignments, which the students love!
Many of our students and families in the county are unable to purchase basic school supplies. Many students come from a high risk and low income homes. We have a lot of support from our community. Oglethorpe County is very blessed to have such a loving and giving community. I hope to provide our students at OCES with the tools, skills and resources they will need to be successful. I want to foster a love of learning for my students.
With these new supplies, our students will have brightly colored new chairs to sit in, storage bins under their shiny new chairs, and a WHITE BOARD TABLE to work on those more difficult math problems! Don't forget the cozy bean bag chair to read those chapter books!
MATH IS MORE FUN WHEN WE CAN DRAW ON TABLES!
My goal is to keep our students engaged in the classroom so they will absorb as much as possible in 4th grade. Fourth grade is a tough year for learning new things like long division, multiplying fractions, and reading with expression! I believe these classroom refreshments in our classroom will brighten my students attitude toward school.
