My Students

My kiddos are kind, loving, caring, and compassionate. They are adventurous, they are inquisitive, and I hope that I can help them learn to be fearless. I want to foster an environment that they feel safe in, safe to be successful, and safe to make mistakes. I want them to learn that mistakes are fine as long as you learn from them. Each and every day I am amazed at something that one of them does. Each day we work to develop a sense of family. I want them come to school knowing that it is a safe place, where they can be free to learn, experiment, and grow academically.

My Project

These magazines from Scholastic will help me to make life long readers by providing fresh and exciting new reading material to my students. There is just something so exciting about being the first person to open up a book or magazine. From the bright, colorful pages to the scent of the ink used to print the pages, these magazines draw the reader in from the moment they get their hands on them. These magazines will also allow me to explore higher level English Language Arts concepts with ready made materials. These magazines come complete with discussion questions, online resources, and skill practice sheets.
