My Students

My 21 first graders come to school every day willing to embark on the adventure of learning. For some of them, English is their second language. We may not have the advantages of other schools, but we do not lack school spirit!

My children miss seeing each other so much right now!

I would love to surprise them with a brand new rug for our gathering space. We have been doing so much deep cleaning in our classroom in order to provide a safe, clean environment! A new rug to replace the old grungy one would be an amazing addition to our classroom!

My Project

A gathering spot is essential to a classroom! A gathering spot helps to create an atmosphere of cooperation and communication! That is what I want for my children! After a deep cleaning of our classroom, some items had to be taken out. I would love to give my children a new carpet where they will be able to come back and greet each other during morning meeting! I can't wait to see their faces. The carpet area is where serious learning goes on! It is where small group instruction can take place, partner work, and centers all take place on our carpet! Help me give a clean new rug to my children.
