I teach at a very small school. The group of students I have this year are very talkative and creative kids. I have had the privilege of teaching them when they were in second grade and now again in sixth grade. It is amazing to be able to see how much they have grown. They love to sit in random places in the classroom to do work. The only problem is with such a low budget school is I do not have a lot of options for them and would love to be able to provide them a preferred seating classroom.
My Project
These materials would be used on a daily bases in my classroom. I would love for my student to be able to sit where they are the most comfortable inside my classroom. I think this will improve student learning and attention.
I know that when I have to go to teacher's meeting and we sit in student desk, they are extremely uncomfortable.
I always say that I now know why kids get so squirmy in class. Student will sit in these different areas during whole group lessons, small group lessons, or even just to find a good spot to read a book. Please help make learning fun in my classroom!
