This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an awesome yet some what shy group of kids that I would like to see come out of their shell more and be more confident in themselves and their thinking.

A lot of my students are fidgeters and have to constantly be moving.

As long as I allow them to move around and collaborate, I see a lot of progress and good work being done!

I believe flexible seating will greatly improve the work I am receiving instead of my students having the feeling they have to stay in one area and wait until I say they can move around. When they do move around and get to make their decisions of where they want to be, I see them concentrating more on their assignments and working harder to complete them correctly. Giving them their freedom to move around also shows them how I respect them as an individual!

My Project

The wobble chairs, and exercise seating, will allow my students to have free choice of where they sit which will help them to feel more self-confident about themselves and work harder to succeed in their academic learning. That's what flexible seating is all about! Each of these has proven to be effective learning tools and I can't wait for my students to prove them right by getting more focus and higher grades with the use of these active seats!

My active students, the chairs, stools, and seats will surely help them to focus and work together while still being active in one spot.

The lap desks will help keep their books and school supplies organized too!
