My Students

I have the pleasure of getting to teach 40 wonderful students. These students come to school everyday excited to learn more about Math and Science. They LOVE hands on activities and manipulative's. They continue to amaze me everyday with their want to learn more or push themselves further. They love when we can make learning a concept fun and engaging. When the students are engaged the connections they make between the concept and the world around them is AMAZING! :)

My Project

My classroom has students that learn from all different teaching styles. Many of my students are visual and kinthestic learners. This means they need things in front of them, objects that they can move and manipulate. Unfortunately, we don’t have enough resources when it comes to Fraction manipulatives. With the fraction tiles and fraction circles this will provide enough resources for each student to use and help deepen their understanding. The building fraction activity centers will allow students to take the lesson from math centers to completing activities on their own. All of these resources will only extend their thinking and help making a lasting input on their learning.
